Cold weather to remain in Oklahoma through work week

03/11/09

After some lengthy unusually warm weather, temperatures across the state fell into the 20s and 30s this morning in the wake of a strong cold front. Forecasters with the National Weather Service said Oklahomans can expect the cold air to remain through the rest of the work week with highs only reaching the upper 30s and 40s through Friday. The cold weather may also bring some occasional moisture in the southeastern part of the state, with smaller chances in the north and west, but weather officials say the possible rain and cold air may cause for some light snow or freezing drizzle at times. A continuing chance for rain and light snow is forecast for Thursday, with daytime highs from the 30s to mid 40s. see more on NewsOK.com
